Festival Season is here! Spending time outside in the sun with our favorite music fulfills thousands of people’s itch for the raw energy and excitement that summer brings us. And one thing that we never leave home without, our Smartphones, are becoming more intertwined into our summer fun and festivals as technology continues to advance. Music festivals have begun to develop apps that will enhance your festival experience. Coachella’s app allows you to sync your Coachella account to view maps, personalized your lineup and more. Electric Forest developed an app, compatible with Android and iPhones, that will share music time schedules and maps of the festival. Electric Forest is already asking festival attendees for feedback and recommendations in order to improve this popular app! This is a great way for people to get more involved in their favorite music festival, but as we mentioned in our previous blog entry, we all know how apps can drain your Smartphone’s battery.

Luckily, the Fueltank UNO is back!

Don’t get lost or miss your favorite artist this summer just because your Smartphone’s battery ran out of juice. The Fueltank UNO is a portable charger that weighs only 3.5 ounces so it won’t bog down your pockets! It will quickly charge your device multiple times without the use of an outlet. Be ready to groove to the music by keeping your Fueltank UNO in your pocket at all times during your summer fun!

What’s a Smartphone without apps? These days it’s hard to imagine what that would be like with the growing number of apps available to the public. Between Facebook, mobile banking, Instagram and email, there are also apps for ordering take-out, playing games, counting your steps, and mimicking a flashlight. Everything from tracking potholes and the next bus on your route, to scanning documents and securing your private information. By the way, have you seen app that will age you 60 years? Or the app that adds 100 pounds to any photo? Needless to say, there’s an app for everything. In fact, there are over 500,000 apps available just in the Apple App Store (try saying that fast five times in a row).

Apps have become our new BFFs. Unfortunately, they are also our Smartphone battery’s worst enemy. A recent study at Purdue University discovered that free apps drain our Smartphone battery with advertising. By tracking users location, sending push notifications, sending user information to advertisers and downloading ads, Smartphones batteries are taking a beating by these free apps. Had you bought the .99 cent version, your battery wouldn’t have had to worry. These researchers developed their own software in order to break down how these free apps consume energy. What they found was that 65-75% of energy consumed in free apps is used for advertising. Not so free anymore, right?

Sadly, it’s not just apps that drain our Smartphone battery. A study at Stanford University and Deutsche Telekom concluded that popular sites such as Wikipedia, IMDB and Apple’s homepage are “power-hungry” sites that drain battery life. The problem with such sites? Poor website coding. Simple coding tweaks could improve these sites’ power consumption, but the coding may never be fixed. So what’s the solution?

Don’t let your app or browsing usage cut your Smartphone time in half. Keep a Fueltank DUO in your back pocket and your Smartphone battery will always be full. The Fueltank DUO is a portable charging device that fits into the palm of your hand and can charge two devices at once, multiple times. Plus, it’s light weight of .8 ounces won’t weigh down your pocket or bag. The Fueltank DUO’s reusable power is available for your Smartphone’s battery revival with no outlet needed. Whether you’re playing Angry Birds under the sun at lunchtime, or tracking your steps along the trail, the Fueltank DUO will go anywhere and everywhere so that your Smartphone is ready to use at all times. App away with Fueltank DUO!

At least 39 million Americans use Mobile Banking on their Smartphones. This feature has proven itself invaluable by allowing us to stay connected to our bank accounts no matter where we are. A Federal Reserve study shows that Internet and mobile phones are changing the way consumers access their financial services. Before we make an impulse buy, we usually check to see if we have the funds available for that 72” flat screen TV. We can transfer money to different accounts, pay bills seconds before they are late, and monitor account balances. These simple tasks come in handy for those of us who forget to track all debit card swipes, or are too busy to write checks.

With technology constantly evolving, we are waiting on what’s next. If you go through your list of gadgets and devices (ie. digital camera for photos, GPS for navigation, iPod for music) you’ll realize they have all merged into the Smartphone. It’s hard to imagine what could possibly be next now that everything is connected. However, Smartphones will continue to evolve, and consumers will continue to use them. They may soon replace cash, credit and debit cards. Just a quick scan, tap or click and you’re using your Smartphone to pay.

Mobile payments will grow tremendously in the next five years. Banks have already developed apps that can take a photo of a check and the deposit is made without ever having to visit an ATM or bank. This year at SXSW, the talk of the digital wallet was prominent. Of course there’s discussion of how mobile banking and a digital wallet will help you control your finances beyond just a swipe at the grocery store, but what about when your Smartphone’s battery has run out of juice? Then what do you do?

Just imagine this scenario: It’s a holiday weekend, which means you’re rushing around town (and so is everyone else) to get last minute tasks accomplished, spending an hour and a half at the grocery store, weaving in and out of other shoppers, with twenty minute lines to check-out. On top of it all, you’re running behind schedule. The yard still needs to be trimmed, the house needs to get cleaned and you still have to primp yourself before guests start arriving. You are finally about to head home and you go to pay your bill but between checking flight statuses, using GPS to find that one store that’s tucked away in the quietest corners of town, answering your children’s calls when they need a ride here or there, has left your Smartphone with zero power. Your powerless Smartphone at checkout means you are now wallet-less.

Unless you have a Fueltank DUO…

The Fueltank DUO is clean, reusable portable power that fits in your pocket and only weighs eight ounces. It can charge two devices at once, multiple times without the use of an outlet.

Now go back to the check-out, your Smartphone is dead but out of your back pocket you pull your Fueltank DUO. Within a few moments you are paying for your groceries and heading home. The Fueltank DUO will make sure your digital wallet is always ready to use!

As people continue to rely on their Smartphones to help navigate, communicate and keep track of finances, one thing that also has become a trend is using Smartphones to manage health. Whether people are googling a symptom, tracking their food and calorie intake, taking care of their depression and monitoring their chemotherapy, the once simple phone for talk and text, has now become another part of us, and more than anyone ever imagined. As the topic of Healthcare continues to be picked apart in Congress, new types of care is emerging, where Smartphones come in handy. The idea of Telemedicine is developing, where online conferences through video chatting can be considered a “doctors visit”, and people may be using their phones to monitor blood pressure and more. In fact, according to a Juniper report, by 2016 more than three million people will be using their Smartphones to monitor their health.

But it doesn’t stop with just tracking health through an App. In recent news, the first Electrocardigram Smartphone successfully monitored heart health in a study of 54 participants. This makes us wonder what will be next? As we all know, technology never stops! But imagine the people in rural areas that Smartphones will be able to help.

And since you’re using your Smartphone to take care of yourself, make sure you don’t forget about keeping your Smartphone energized. Our Fueltank DUO will feed your Smartphone, among many other devices such as Tablets, headsets, iPods, handheld game sets and more, to keep them healthy and powered up. Plus, the Fueltank DUO is only eight ounces and will fit in your pocket to make sure you don’t miss one snack you consumed or one mile you ran.

Spring is now upon us. With warmer temperatures, the sun staying awake longer each night, and tips of green sprouting from the earth, we know the season is changing. This means it’s time to out with the old and in with the new. New habits from our New Year’s resolutions have stuck with us, and it’s time to spring clean our home and offices. You can eliminate your messy power cords for all of your devices and use the revolutionary Chargepod!

The Chargepod allows you to charge up to six devices with only one outlet – and it charges everything from Smartphones, cell phones, headsets, cameras, game systems, NAV units – basically over 4,000 devices across all major brands like Apple, Sony, Motorola, Nokia, Samsung, HTC, Garmin, TomTom and much, much more. Say ‘Goodbye’ to all of those messy cords! The days of clutter and chaos are over.

So after spring, comes the season of serious fun: Summer. Get the Fueltank DUO so you can keep going and going all summer long! The power of an outlet in your purse, backpack or briefcase – awesome.

Five Examples of When You’ll Need The Fueltank DUO This Summer:

1. Airports — Vacation time is soon upon us! The kids are out of school and we’ve spent the first half of the year working hard. Unless you really do arrive to the airport two hours ahead of your flight like airlines suggest, finding a seat while waiting for boarding is hard to come across, let alone, a free outlet! Don’t worry about trying to run to your gate because the only open outlet is clear across the airport. Board the plane while charging your devices.

2. Camping — Taking a weekend out into the wilderness over the summer is rejuvenating. It’s refreshing to get away from the world, news and work and to be able to bond with nature. While we may not take our tablets or laptops camping with us, one thing we do bring is our cell phones. The Fueltank DUO does not need an outlet and will charge your and your friends cellphone at the same time while eating S’mores around the camp fire.

3. Day out in the city — We all have those days where our to-do list seems to list enough things to accomplish for an entire month. We plan a route and head out to the post office, to pick up dry cleaning, get the oil changed on our vehicles, some shopping, or to meet up with a friend. We’re gone from 10:00 a.m. until well after bedtime, and we all know as much as we’re using our Smartphones for GPS, music, bus trackers and more that by early evening our phones are warning us of low battery life. Don’t gamble having a missed connection all day long while you’re having fun or being productive. The Fueltank DUO will fit in your pocket, purse, bag or backpack and only weighs 7.3 ounces.

4. Festivals — One thing many of us look forward too is spending an entire day or weekend with our friends and family at a festival. Good music, creative crafts and art and tasty treats clumped together under the summer sun defines summer. As expected, festivals tend to have large crowds and getting separated from your company tends to happen. Finding your acquaintances without a powered cellphone can be a tricky task and depending on the size of the festival, could prove to be difficult. The Fueltank DUO will fit in your pocket so you can roam free and quickly find your friends when the music is blaring and the sun starts to set.

5. Road Trips — Getting behind the wheel with friends or family and driving across the country is an adventure. But after a few hours on the road, some of us become a little restless and handheld game consoles or tablets are the perfect solution for making the time go by a little quicker than 70 miles per hour. A device that has no power, is no help. Keep the Fueltank DUO handy in your glove compartment to be ready when your device runs out of juice.

We know there are more ways and times when you’ll need the Fueltank DUO! Connect with us at Facebook.com/callpodinc and tell us when you use your Fueltank DUO!

Callpod hopes you have a fantastic spring and summer! Use coupon code Call678 for 30% off the Chargepod and Fueltank DUO at www.callpod.com!

But with a tablet’s sleek design and its convenient mobility, it is not surprising that tablet sales are climbing at a massive rate.

Will there ever be a day when tablets out sell home computers? Chief executive of Apple, Timothy D. Cook believes so. Talk of the new iPad has been prominent in the news recently. Today marks the day of finding out everything we’ve wanted to know about what’s next with the iPad, and it’s such big news that even some companies are participating in a live blog.

But it’s not just Apple. Tablets are now being produced by many competitors such as Sony, Android, Blackberry and more. In fact, at tablet’s current growth rates, tablets could potentially could outsell traditional PCs by the end of 2013.

There are so many choices when it comes to which tablet you will purchase. But there’s only one choice for portable power: the Fueltank DUO. The Fueltank DUO uses clean, reusable energy to power up your tablet when you aren’t near an outlet. It also has two charging ports to handle two of your smaller devices (a Smartphone and headset) at the same time. Fueltank DUO charges over 4,000 small portable gadgets, including your Tablet, and covers all major brands. So next time your Tablet runs low on power and your out and about, no worries – problem solved!

As we now know, Smartphones are no longer a luxury but now a necessity. We want our life more convenient and there’s no better way than with an electronic device. Not only do we benefit from having the nifty technology around, but so do the companies who are producing these products, and who wouldn’t want these amazing products? As technology advances, the ability to manufacture electronic devices becomes simpler. And now it seems that every day a new electronic device or upgrade to an existing device is being launched for the public, and we’re okay with that and we want that! There are rumors about the new iPad 3, information about an upgrade to a Nook tablet coming out to compete with others and new handheld game system, among many other technology devices that seem to be rolling out to the public on a regular basis. Our need for speed and technology device addiction is normal, just like standing in line for hours just to get the newest version of the iPhone 4S on the first day of sale. We do it once a year for Black Friday, so why not do the same for one of our most prized personal possessions, such as a Smartphone? Can you keep up?

It’s interesting to think about who will release the latest Smartphone or tablet, or what new electronic device will become a necessity in our culture. There’s one thing to be sure about, and that’s to have a Chargepod ready for all of your devices. These days you probably have four, five or even six devices in your home, but you only need one Chargepod and one outlet to keep them going.

On another note, if you haven’t checked out our Facebook page, head over there and ‘Like’ us to stay connected!

We rely on our Smartphones. They can be our guide on the road, our flashlights, what we use to browse the web, check our email, pay bills, share photos on our social media accounts, play games and more. Unfortunately, it’s not unusual that even with a full nights charge, our batteries juice ends up low or gone before the end of the day. We have to cut calls short, stay off the web or our favorite apps, borrow someones charger or at a last resort, go without your phone. This can be a major inconvenience. There’s rumors that certain brands lose battery life quicker than others, and poor reviews of new releases. And without a doubt, the length of the phones battery life is a major selling point when it comes to choosing which Smartphone you use. But a battery life depends on more than just the brand or how quickly it was released–poor battery life affects all brands and platforms. The truth is, battery technology is not keeping up with the advances of Smartphones, and until that happens, we will have to find ways around making sure our phones can stay charged as long as we need and want them.

There’s plenty more reasons why our phones battery run out of power so quickly besides just battery technology lagging behind. Leaving apps open when not in use, letting your phone constantly search on the 4G network and a large screen light always shining can be the culprit of your batteries death. But sometimes we can’t avoid doing these things because we rely on our Smartphones so much.

One thing you can do to keep your mobile battery-relationship in good standing: Have your FueltankDUO handy. The FueltankDUO gives you clean, reusable portable power without the need for an outlet. Never worry about your battery life again as long as you have a Fueltank DUO.

Even though the holiday season is over, it doesn’t mean we stop spending–especially for devices that make our life easier. Tablets, Smartphones, e-readers, handheld game consoles and mini net-books have transformed from luxuries to necessities. And why not? Who doesn’t want GPS in the palm of their hand or their favorite music or novel one touch away?

In fact, NPD In-Stat recently release a report that expects Smartphones, tablets and notebook PCs to grow at 25.7% annually by 2015.

That’s why you need to have the Chargepod and Fueltank DUO.

The Chargepod allows you to plug in up to six devices from one outlet. Forget the messy cords. Forget finding a free outlet. The Chargepod charges all of your technology devices at one central location to make it easier and cleaner for you.

The Fueltank DUO is clean reusable portable power that can fit in the palm of your hand or pocket. Maybe you had a late night and forgot to plug in your Smartphone to your Chargepod to re-juice it’s power, and on top of that, you left your iPod running all night leaving you with less than 5% power remaining–don’t worry! Your Fueltank DUO has your back, and will charge two devices at the same time with no outlet needed. Take it anywhere with you–on the subway, on an airplane, on a boat, Fueltank DUO will feed your devices the power they crave.

So while Smartphones, e-readers, iPods and the plethora of other technology devices available make your life more convenient and the market continues to grow, your need for the Chargepod and Fueltank DUO expands as well.

Two necessities that make your life easier: Chargepod and Fueltank DUO.
